What do I Need to Play?
- A Computer Running Chrome
Or Firefox
-
For now, we don’t recommend playing CryptoChronic on mobile devices.
Although
Firefox for Android supports the MetaMask add-on, many users experience
performance
issues on mobile.
- We’re building a mobile app for CryptoChronic, so you’ll soon be able to
play everywhere!
-
You can use CryptoChronic from multiple computers as long as you have
MetaMask
installed on both. When you log in to MetaMask on a new computer, it will
request
your “seed phrase” for verification. Copy your MetaMask seed phrase from
the old
computer to the new computer to ensure you have the same secure keys.
- We recommend sticking with Chrome or Firefox. It may be technically
possible to use
another browser, but we can’t guarantee optimal performance, so you may
want to
steer clear.
A Digital Wallet
-
To use CryptoChronic, you need a digital wallet.
-
We will have a proprietary and bespoke Gamified Wallet in place shortly
after launch, but to enable our early
adopters to reap the benefits of being early birds, we support all digital
wallets, but if you don’t already
have one, we recommend MetaMask. It’s simple and easy to use, plus a fox is
practically a Cannabis Strain.
- You’ll need to put money in your wallet to make your first purchase. We can
show you how to do that, too.
- Note: A digital wallet like MetaMask acts like a bank account—treat it with
respect and make sure you don’t
forget your password or the seed words.
- Some users need to uninstall and reinstall MetaMask because the app needs a
refresh. As long as you kept your seed words safe, this is very easy! Just
delete the extension, reinstall it, and import your twelve seed words. Then
you’ll set the password you want to use (this can be the same one you used
before or a whole new password), and confirm your email address and
username again on the CryptoChronic website.
- Occasionally the ‘My Profile’ page displays a lock screen. This happens
because MetaMask automatically locks your account after a certain period of
time. To unlock, simply click on the MetaMask extension and type in your
password.
>
- No, we can’t. MetaMask is an independent wallet that CryptoChronic does not
in any way control. Although this means we can’t help with resetting
passwords, it also means we can never forcibly remove assets from your
wallet. Your Chronics are stored in your wallet, not our databases, and
your wallet belongs to you.
>
- Your public wallet address (e.g. 0xaba935f589805095a892ecefdb6eb83eff45d67)
is a unique identifier for your wallet. It’s like a name. You can share it
freely with others, and it’s used to direct assets to your wallet.
